Kim S. Fennebresque, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Fennebresque was appointed as Chairman of Dahlman Rose in May 2010 and brings to the company more than 30 years of experience in investment banking. He started his Wall Street career at The First Boston Corporation (now Credit Suisse) in 1977 and ultimately was appointed Head of General Investment Banking, Head of Leveraged Acquisitions, and Head of Transaction Development. He left First Boston in 1991 to join Lazard Freres as a General Partner, and, in 1992, he became co-Head of Investment Banking. He served in this capacity until he joined UBS to lead the bank’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance departments.
In 1998, Mr. Fennebresque joined SG Cowen, the U.S. subsidiary of Societe Generale and predecessor to Cowen and Company, as Head of Investment Banking. He served as President, CEO, and Chairman for most of his tenure at Cowen, leading numerous strategic initiatives, including the separation of Cowen and Company from its parent and Cowen’s initial public offering in 2006. He was also recently designated by the United States Treasury to the Board of GMAC. Mr. Fennebresque also serves on the Boards of The TEAK Fellowship, Common Good and Fountain House. He formerly served on the Boards of Montefiore Hospital, Montefiore Children’s Hospital, The American Lung Association and WNET-Channel 13. Mr. Fennebresque received his undergraduate degree from Trinity College in 1972 and a law degree from Vanderbilt Law School.
Robert Brinberg, Chief Operating Officer & Managing Partner
Mr. Brinberg was appointed Chief Operating Officer in June 2006, after having been with Dahlman Rose & Company since early 2005. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brinberg was founder and President of a consulting company focused on infrastructure and business workflow. Mr. Brinberg graduated from Trinity College in 1997.
Robert C. Meier, Head of Equity Sales & Trading
Mr. Meier is the Head of Equity Sales & Trading at Dahlman Rose & Co. and responsible for the ongoing growth and leadership of the firm’s sales and trading effort. He has more than 15 years of experience in institutional sales and trading. Previously, he served as Head of Equities at Gleacher & Company, where he was responsible for managing the firm’s equity sales, trading, and research functions. Prior to Gleacher, Mr. Meier was Co-Head of Equities and Head of Sales for Cowen & Company and Head of Research Sales at Soundview Technology Group prior to the firm’s sale to Charles Schwab in 2003. Mr. Meier started his career as an attorney providing legal advice on various corporate transactions. Mr. Meier received a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and completed his undergraduate degree at Franklin & Marshall College.
Jason Glazer, Head of Equity Sales
In 2007, Mr. Glazer joined the firm as the Head of Equity Sales at Dahlman Rose & Co., LLC. Mr. Glazer started his Wall Street career in institutional equity sales at Bear Stearns & Co. and worked his way to becoming a Senior Managing Director in his eight years at the firm. Mr. Glazer received his MBA in Finance and International Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University, which included studies at Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Jouy-en-Josas, France. Mr. Glazer is a graduate of Bucknell University with a degree in Economics and Political Science.
Alexander Khutorsky, Managing Director, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions
Mr. Khutorsky is Managing Director and the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Dahlman Rose & Company LLC. Prior to joining the firm in September 2009, Mr. Khutorsky was a Managing Director at Banc of America Securities, where he focused on M&A within the Global Industries Group. Before joining Banc of America Securities in 2005, Mr. Khutorsky spent over seven years at Bear Stearns & Co., where he was a Managing Director in the firm’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications investment banking group, and where he focused on M&A for the firm’s Aerospace & Defense and Technology clients. Over the course of his career on Wall Street, Mr. Khutorsky was involved in over $65 billion in announced M&A transactions spanning a wide range of clients and situations. Mr. Khutorsky began his career as a corporate attorney at the New York law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Columbia College and received his JD and MBA degrees from Columbia University.
Matthew S. Rovelli, Managing Director, Head of Energy Investment Banking & Equity Capital Markets, Managing Partner
Mr. Rovelli is a Managing Director and the Head of Energy Investment Banking and Equity Capital Markets at Dahlman Rose. Prior to joining the firm in January 2007, Mr. Rovelli was a Managing Director at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in the Equity Transactions Group. Over his seven year career at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., Mr. Rovelli worked on the origination and execution of over 100 bookrun equity transactions, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, concurrent multi-product financings, overnight block trades, and private placements. Mr. Rovelli graduated from Colgate University with a degree in Economics.
Mark J. Schulte, Managing Director, Head of Transportation Investment Banking
Mr. Schulte is currently Managing Director and Head of Transportation Investment Banking at Dahlman Rose. Mr. Schulte has been involved in transportation and aviation for over 25 years and his experience includes working with many US and foreign airlines, equipment manufacturers, equipment leasing/rental companies, logistics companies, railroads, trucking firms and airports. He has extensive international experience and has initiated and completed major transactions on six continents. In addition, Mr. Schulte has substantial restructuring experience, both in the corporate and quasi-public sectors and has assisted several governments in structuring and implementing transportation-related privatizations.
Prior to joining Dahlman Rose, Mr. Schulte founded and ran his own advisory firm, Taurus Corporate Finance Group and served as a Managing Director of Seabury Transportation Holdings, an aviation-focused advisory and restructuring firm. Prior to his tenure with Taurus, Mr. Schulte was a Managing Director of Merrill Lynch & Co. and co-head of its worldwide transportation practice in investment banking. Mr. Schulte was graduated from Dartmouth College, A.B., magna cum laude, with highest distinction in economics; and received his MBA from the University of Chicago.
Keith D. Phillips, Managing Director, Global Head of Metals & Mining Investment Banking
Mr. Phillips joined Dahlman Rose in August, 2008 and is responsible for the company’s Metals & Mining investment banking effort globally. Mr. Phillips joined Dahlman Rose from JP Morgan, where he headed the investment bank’s Metals & Mining practice. He previously ran the Metals & Mining investment banking groups at Bear Stearns & Co and Merrill Lynch. Mr. Phillips has worked with over one hundred Metals & Mining companies during his 22-year Wall Street career, including established global leaders such as Rio Tinto, Vale, Barrick Gold, and Peabody Energy, successful growth companies such as Goldcorp, Yamana Gold, PanAmerican Silver and Royal Gold, as well exploration and development stage companies such as Silver Standard, Minefinders, NovaGold, Seabridge Gold, Gold Reserve and Noront Resources. Mr. Phillips received his MBA from the University of Chicago and a B. Comm. from Laurentian University in Canada. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and is a trustee of the Montclair Kimberley Academy.
Elliott Etheredge, Managing Director, Head of Marine Transportation Investment Banking
Mr. Etheredge joined Dahlman Rose in April 2009 as Managing Director and Head of Marine Transportation Investment Banking. Mr. Etheredge began his career in transportation more than 15 years ago heading logistics operations in Mexico for Intertrans Corporation and Sears, Roebuck. In 1999, Mr. Etheredge joined Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc. as a member of the firm’s Aerospace & Defense team before joining the prominent Transportation & Logistics group where he was a Managing Director. After J.P. Morgan’s acquisition of Bear Stearns, Mr. Etheredge was appointed head of the bank’s Maritime Investment Banking group. During his career, Mr. Etheredge has participated in more than $55 billion in announced M&A transactions and has helped clients raise more than $7 billion of capital. Mr. Etheredge received a BA from the University of Richmond and a MBA from the University of Texas where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies and was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and a Sord Scholar. Mr. Etheredge is a CFA charterholder.
William B. Peterson, Chief Compliance Officer
Mr. Peterson joined the firm in 2007 from Citigroup Global Markets, where he was a Director and headed the Compliance Regulatory Group of the Corporate and Investment Bank. Prior to that, he was a Director in the Morgan Stanley Law Division, where he filled various legal and regulatory roles, beginning as a litigation attorney. He served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York and was an associate at Reed Smith. Mr. Peterson has over 20 years of Wall Street legal and compliance experience. He is a cum laude graduate of Georgetown Law, did additional graduate school at Princeton University and is a summa cum laude graduate of Brooklyn College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
